I always need to wear scarves in summer because of the airco in stores, cars, rooms, etc. The more lightweight the better! I recently stumbled upon a variation of the puff stitch called the ‘blocked puff stitch’. I decided to make a scarf with this fun stitch and 2 balls of Katia Seacell Cotton. It creates a beautiful texture and can be used for many projects such as hats, shawls, bags, blankets, potholders… Scroll down for my free photo and video tutorial of the Blocked Puff Stitch Scarf.

Blocked Puff Stitches

The abbreviation is usually Bps. Blocked Puff stitches are a variation of puff stitches and have a more open structure. You can also make staggered, stacked, zigzag and braided puff stitch rows. Even though it is not a difficult stitch, you might have to practice getting the right tension. On my blog you can find a detailed photo and video tutorial of this stitch. Below you can find my free pattern to make a scarf.
