Imagine a warm summer evening, sitting on your porch (or your favorite spot) with a crochet project and the amazing light of this jar cozy… This jar cozy features the blocked puff stitch, one of my favorite stitches which I’ve used for a summer scarf, triangle shawl and potholder. I’ve used Katia Seacell Cotton, a yarn composed of 100% biodegradable matter and seaweed which are collected in a sustainable manner. Blocked Puff Stitches

Blocked Puff stitches (BPS) are a variation of puff stitches and have a more open structure. Other alternatives are staggered, stacked, zigzag and braided puff stitches. Even though it is not a difficult stitch, you might have to practice getting the right tension. On my blog you can find a detailed photo and video tutorial of this stitch. Below you can find my free pattern to make a Jar Cozy.
